I figured out a quick way to repair a tie. :)
That is a part of our area
My old ward, but the other area, Loma Cová
We went on divisions in the area with the biggest and most hills in the mission. :
We helped some sisters move houses and fit EVERYTHING in the truck. We only did one trip. :)
Elder Jensen and I
Some photos from Palmas Bellas, Darien when we went out there a couple of weeks ago. We slept in hammocks because we bought them in San Blas and took them out to Darien. Those hammocks have enough room to fit 2-3 people. They are called matrimonial hammocks. They are made in Columbia and sold in San Blas. I love them:)
We also did a service there as well for the local school with the ward. It went really well!
Darien is beautiful. It is a great place. The people that live here live as if you were in Montana or Wyoming where it's very rural and there really isn't much... :) But it is amazing and the people are great.
In this picture the guy is wearing that hat; those hats are typical and native to Panama. You will see all of the older people wearing those hats. It's a part of their history and culture. They can cost anywhere from $50-$300. They are serious about their hats, haha
This little guy is named Hyrum. He was a great helper that stuck with me the whole service. I learned a lot from him. It's amazing how much you can learn from someone and how much you can love them in such a short amount of time. He told me that the way they get around is by riding their horses. He said that they had 8 and that one was on the way. That is truly the interior.
This was the lunch after the service. It was the best soup I have had here in Panama.
They sure know how to cook out there! They were just great and kind people.
I found this bug during the service and I don´t know what it is but it looks pretty crazy.

This is a picture of a guy passed out on the sidewalk. It happnes a lot.
So we put a card and pamphlet by and on him to help him out. :)
Traffic in Panama is HORRENDOUS. It helps one to develop much patience :)
We did District Leader Trainings
We flew out to David with President on Thursday morning to the trainings.
I went on divisions with Elder Castillo, a new missionary in the mission who is in Palmas Bellas.
He is a great missionary from El Salvador.

Elder Bird was in the MTC with me. We now have officially 18 months and
he wanted to take a picture. So we did.

We did District Leader Trainings
We had District Leader Trainings in both the City and the Interior (David, Bocas, Chitré, etc.)
The flight lasted about 30 minutes. Driving it would take about 7 hours.
This is Elder Olander. He is Brian's twin. If Brian was a missionary again, he would be Elder Olander.
He reminds me of Brian almost too much...
This is a pic with Elder Teichert and Elder Franco! They are in the Concepción Zone, by David, in Volcán.
It gets really cold in Volcán, enough to wear a jacket. There is no place like it in Panama.
It is as beautiful as the Garden of Eden. It is a great place. I would buy a house there it's so nice.
More photos of the houses in the area. Many parts are really wealthy.
This is our area!
