Bruce's farewell was September 15, 2013 on a beautiful Sabbath day. The Maplewood Ward, friends and family enjoyed listening to his powerful testimony and remarks in Sacrament Meeting. Then we all enjoyed a luncheon afterwards at the Bitter home and backyard. It was a wonderful time of being together and cherishing Bruce's presence, knowing he will be gone in less than 2 days. What joy he has brought into our lives. He is a precious gift to our family, and we will miss him tremendously. Words cannot express our deep love and gratitude for Bruce. We know that he will be a great tool in the Lord's hands to bring the people of Panama to a knowledge of the gospel. Marvelous joy will surely come into their lives as a result. Farewell Bruce, and may God be with you and us until we meet again.
Sharing missionary experiences...
Bruce gave all the kids obedience necklaces to help them remember to obey their parents. He also gave them wrist bands to give them power to do good, and prepared little goody bags for each of them...they all know Uncle Bruce has an endless supply of suckers!
Lots of loves.
